STEPS REQUIRED TO MAKE BACON JAM RECIPE

Step 1: Cooking the Bacon Jam

Take a large heavy-bottomed pot and place the bacon in it. Cook the Bacon over medium heat for about 15 minutes. Cook the bacon until the fat is rendered. When the bacon became crispy place this bacon over a bowl to drain the fat from it. When the bacon is cool enough cut it into pieces.

Step 2: Cook the garlic and onion

Take a pot and pour 2 to 3 tsp of the bacon fat and butter in it. Now add the onion to it and sauté it for about 10 minutes until the onion turns light brown.

Mix the sherry vinegar, 1 tsp thyme leaves, black pepper, brown sugar, cayenne, onion, and bacon. Now add water to it and cook it for about 15 minutes. cook the mixture until the jam turns brick-brown.

Now add balsamic vinegar, olive oil and thyme leaves into the jam mix it and heat through.
