Today we will discuss the spinach mac & cheese recipes. The ingredients for the recipe are as follow cooking spray, kosher salt, macaroni, butter, shallot, flour, milk, cheese, shredded parmesan, nutmeg, cayenne pepper, spinach, breadcrumb, olive oil.

11Spinach—-3 ounces
12Breadcrumb—-¾ cup
13Olive oil—–¼ cup

Steps to make the spinach mac & cheese

Step 1: Boiling the water & preparing the baking dish

  Take a baking dish & spray with cooking spray. Place on the top third of the oven rack. Place a large pot of salted water. Boil this water set the broiler too high.

Step 2: cook pasta

Now add the pasta to it cook for 5 to 6 minutes. when this is done drain this reserving little water in it.

Step 3: Sauté the shallot

   To cook the shallot take a large Dutch oven. Set it on medium heat. Then melt butter and add the shallot to it cook it until softened.

Step 4: Make the Sauce

For the sauce, making brings the shallot and flour and whisk. Whisk it until the mixture become smooth. Now add the milk to it and put over medium heat and cook it for 10 minutes till the mixture become heavy.

 Now add cayenne, salt, nutmeg to it.

Step 5: Adding the pasta & spinach

Add the spinach to the sauce. Break the spinach and add the pasta. Cook it on medium heat for about 5 minutes. Then remove from the heat and add the pasta water if looks thick.

  Step 6: Making the toppings

Take a bowl; add the olive oil, panko, & parmesan. Mix it well and sprinkle over the pasta.

Step 7: Broil mac & cheese

Broil the pasta for about 2 to 3 minutes in a broiler. When the topping is browned & the edges are bubbling its done.
