Today we will discuss another beautiful recipe “Smashed Potatoes”. It is a very easy homemade recipe. The ingredients required for the recipe are as follows potatoes, salt, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, fresh parsley, chives, or green onion.

STEPS TO MAKE MASHED POTATOES

Step 1: Cleaning The Potatoes

To start the recipe, take the potatoes scrub, and clean them. Then wash with the water. Remove any dirt and sprouting areas. Then place these potatoes in a large Dutch oven or a large pot. This is the first step.

Step 2: Cooking The Potatoes

Now fill the pot with the water so that the potatoes submerge entirely in the water. Also, add 1 tsp of salt. Now place these potatoes on a stove to boil on low-medium heat. Cook until the potatoes can be easily pierced with the fork. Cook the potatoes for about 25 to 30 minutes.

Step 3: Setting The Oven

While boiling the potatoes, preheat the oven up to 410 degrees. Now take olive oil and drizzle over the baking sheet of the oven, then brush the oil to distribute it evenly over the sheet.

Step 4: Cooling the potatoes

Drain the potatoes and cool them for about 5 to 10 minutes, so that they can be handled carefully.

Step 5: Smashing the potatoes

Now put the potatoes in the oven over the baking sheet. Smash the potatoes with the smasher or with the fork. Smash each potato. The thinner the potatoes the more it will be crispy.

Step 6: Seasoning

Sprinkle the garlic powder, salt, onion powder, and drizzle the olive oil over the potatoes. And at the last sprinkle the black pepper.

Step 7: Finishing

Bake the potatoes till it turn to golden for about 20 to 25 minutes. serve with the chopped fresh herbs.
